A Baton Rouge based HR Consulting firm is seeking experienced HR professionals who are interested in consulting or individuals with previous HR consulting or HR business partner experience.  Consultants will work directly with our clients in developing & executing customized HR programs. The client base includes a wide range of small to midsize companies & nonprofits in the New Orleans and Southeast Region.  The qualified candidate must be able to work with multiple clients, across multiple industries on a myriad of projects.

Senior HR Consultant Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of HR consulting relationships with specific clients in the New Orleans area.
  • HR activities include such things as:
  • HR Strategy
  • Create and conduct training presentations
  • Leave Administration (FMLA/ADA)
  • Recruitment & Retention Strategy
  • Performance Management
  • EEOC Fillings
  • Orientation/Onboarding Programs
  • Organizational Effectiveness
  • HR Compliance Support
  • Employment Policies
  • Employee Engagement Initiatives
  • Professional Development

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree OR 7+ years required
  • 5+ years of HR & business experience. Business acumen is as important as HR knowledge to be successful in this position.
  • Must possess “consulting skills” & be viewed as professional & knowledgeable by our clients.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills are required.
  • Computer & math skills are required (especially MS Excel, PowerPoint & Word).
  • Demonstrated excellence in previous HR/Business endeavors.
  • Professional HR Certification is strongly desired (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP).
  • HR & business experience supporting small to midsize organizations.
